Sarah, the suggested bridge goes from Ferry Lane pier into Kew Gardens car park. No 'wild' bank is affected and there is already an entrance to Kew Gardens from the car park.

That said, the current suggested bridge is cumbersome and ugly in my opinion. The 'environmental qualities' of the bridge are false as it is built of concrete, clad in wood. The suggested shop is equally ugly and unnecessary. What could it offer that the existing restaurants on Ferry Quays and the shops in Kew Gardens don't? Car parking on the Brentford bank would create even more congestion on the streets around Brentford High Street. The marketing waffle on the Brentford Bridge website is just that - techno gabble designed to impress potential developers and sources of funding. It would be a complete waste of money to build, to say nothing of the ongoing maintenance costs.
