'Useless, selfish people' I can only say Anne, that those two words are comparatively mild to what quite a few of us here in Isleworth have used to describe our 'representatives'. Arrogant, spineless, lying, offensive or any permutation of similar sentiments. They've sanctioned council officers taking an open space adjacent to an area with 400+ households and leased it for someone to graze two horses. They admit they got it all wrong, but they will do nothing to put things right, what would you call that? We are just little people far too unimportant in the view of their grandiose self importance. After months of pressure they are now saying there will a 'consultation' no doubt worded by officers trying to cover their backsides, but they have constantly refused to end this lease, which they can. How can any 'consultation' possibly be regarded as open and transparent while that situation is allowed to continue? It is hardly a fair way forward, but clearly livestock is far, far more important than the health and wellbeing of residents, Oh! hang on - do horses vote? |
