I visited the area today after calling in at the top Pharmacist Mr Curd...and realised that Swan Court was part of the masses of offices developed in this Old Isleworth area many years ago and which mostly seem now to be empty. Why? That's the puzzle.
I used to do much business with various offices and Marketing Agencies in that area some years back and the car parks were full of de luxe cars owned by prosperous staff and their employers. What's gone wrong? High rents? High business rates? Poor congested roadways. The nearness of Joseph's baguettes has perhaps not been a strong enough appeal.
Are LA Fitness still there? Wasn't that where Lady Di was been secretly filmed whilst she was doing her exercises?
I'm sure the Isleworth Society and other Community locals had much good input. Maybe businesses and people are moving to Brentford!
