Glancing at the TfL Network Operating Strategy, I see that Twickenham Road doesn't rate very highly in the pecking order. The A4 is one of the TLRN London-wide corridors. The A315 (W11 Chiswick to Hounslow) is listed as a Hounslow sub-regional corridor. Twickenham Road isn't either of them. If TfL is given objectives to keep the flow going on the measured corridors, one suspects that it does not give a high priority in its traffic light timings to lesser routes. Or am I wrong ? It would be interesting to get the history of the timings - though understanding them might be an issue, looking at what TfL have provided in the past.
