| Yawn! was your response to my first posting but that's not rude is it! what had I said, other than to point out the inaccuracy of the media 'soundbite' of prejudice and ask that people don't use it! Most of your friends that smoke keep their heads down and are thankful not to be! political dissidents they are not, but then political dissident live in foreign countries don't they surely I'm just a druggie! This is the point of perspective. The treatment dished out to some users of some drugs is unacceptable if one was to transpose drugs with race or gender, religion, handicap. but its Ok to launch A 40year war against some people who use some drugs! three generations of my family have been subjected to home invasion by the state! do you honestly think there is a difference between the feeling of being invaded by the police thugs. Both leave you with damage to your home, both see people 'steal and smash up your belongings' both carry weapons, only some have the right to use them and they are apparently the good guys. One other thing I would like you to consider is that the words on a screen lack emphasize and as such are hard and direct, so open to misconception, rudeness, if you like is often in the mind of the reader and over emphasized. Its the nature of the beast. |
