Philip, I know there are more people with drink related problems than with drug related problems. This is perhaps because there are many, many more people who drink that who take drugs. You have to factor that into any logical analysis of the point you put forward. Otherwise,it's abit like saying there are many more cycling accidents in China than in Britain, therefore British cyclists are more careful.Never mind there are many more cyclists in China... I only ,btw, suggest people go to any particular pub if a request has been made for somewhere nice to eat or drink for an evening. If the poster said'My mate and me want to go to a local pub,get absolutely hammered and cause noise, aggression and kick up a fuss' I would tell them where to get off and suggest psychiatric help, not somewhere cosy to go for a few pints. If'coffee shops'were legal and a poster asked for a recommendation and I knew a decent one,I would suggest going there in the same vein that I suggest pubs. I am no saint btw on the smoking cannabis issue and make of that what you will but on this forum I do not choose to advertise my lifestyle choices because they are nothing to do with anyone else,as theirs are not my business. I don't think the hymm sheets we are singing from are that different in some respects, but you seem to assume, serially, that because someone enjoys a drink that they are raving alcoholics who will cause endless problems to society and as drinkers, are automatically against anyone smoking cannabis. You seem to be too confrontational to garner any real support for your position, imo.I am willing to meet anyone half way,as is the Englishman's way(and no I'm not talking about the authorities and the police). |
