| If they have any sense, as I believe they have, our local councillors will certainly be pleased to be making more and more friends within the wider community as a result of their active and visible support for initatives such as the anti-closures march last Saturday. I am aware that some councillors in the past have considered it demeaning to lend their support to any activity organised by the hoi polloi (or "rabble" to some), but traditionally their snobbish, elitist arrogance has cost them. |
