| The grounds are looking good but the slight distraction is all the metal fencing erected to do the electrical cableing for Sky. We were promised it would all be finished in time - we were right not to believe them! There will be a girl guide jamboree in the park on the Saturday afternoon/evening where two hundred people are expected to celebrate the girl guide centenery. Out of our control however will be a party "for 300 invited guests" to be held on the area of land known as Clitherow Island at the bottom of the park by the canal. We have always been told it was squatters on the land but the message coming out now is that the land has been purchased! So, if you hear any music etc before 12 noon Sunday, it is not the Brentford Festival starting early. See you at the festival. |
