THE ALTON PUB does not appear in Gillian Clegg's book "Brentford and Chiswick pubs" so is this a discovery perhaps?
Maybe one of the local historians will help identify it. Perhaps drop Neil in Australia an email too.

| This very old drawing was lurking in distant cyberspace and it was so faint that it wasn't clear what the subject matter was...but it was entitled THE ALTON PUB. Using simple photo shop technology it was possible to enhance the image significantly. THE ALTON PUB does not appear in Gillian Clegg's book "Brentford and Chiswick pubs" so is this a discovery perhaps? Maybe one of the local historians will help identify it. Perhaps drop Neil in Australia an email too. |
