We just cast our votes for the independents in Syon Ward. It will make me smile if we rid the Borough of the arrogance and entitlement of these self serving incumbents in power for far too long. What have Labour done in the last 12 years? 1. they have overdeveloped Brentford Town centre and not listened to residents in Brentford Dock. 2.They have increased waiting lists for social services, 3. reduced funding to several local charities,4 not fixed the roads one bit better in the last 2 years. The Borough is a disgrace with rubbish thrown around everywhere. 5. Not reduced anti social behaviour where I live and just put any tenants in place without any thought to the locals. 6. Absolutely snarled the Town centre up with their ill thought out cycle lanes and traffic calming. Hopefully change is coming and at least it will give a chance to see if things can be improved locally.
