| Commendable but not the first to resign on principle. Problem is that he and too many others did not speak up a few years ago when all this was festering. Brentford is simply a cash cow for wheeling and dealing and Labour nationally and locally are at the core of it and have been for far too long. I hope he does well but those others he was happy to diss, also have a lot to answer for, choosing only to criticise after they lose their seat rather than to fight from within. Guy though is head and shoulders above that and will be easily re-elected as a 'non-person'. Who else will have the gumption? |
