Unfortunately Guy does not set a good example with his speeding tickets.I come from a cycling family before it was ever as popular as it is now. My Cousin was a top Professional and Uncle was 7th in the BBAR in 1964. I think cycling around Brentford is a lot safer than cycling the country lanes where Motorists coming towards you or overtaking at very high speeds often in excess of 60 mph. Biggest danger around our borough are the countless potholes and uneven road surfaces and to receive an answer from Cllr Lambert about LBHs roads are better than Richmond Borough is frankly very poor answer. With the wet winter the roads have fared very poorly. A friend of mine who just started driving last week after 2 years away from driving due to illness also mentioned how bad the road states were. As a motorist I find the narrowing of the roads very frustrating especially where you now have to Queue behind buses at a bus stop with no chance of overtaking. What LBH have done to the Twickenham road in Isleworth with the narrowing along that stretch is ridiculous!
