That's a good point Sue.. yes the bridge will add much convenience to many.

However my long walk around parts of Brentford this afternoon(after  watching Brentford v Arsenal!) included a trip up Commerce Road.

I recall the factories,the overhanging wharf and the jungle of industrial premises. They were fascinating.

Today I was so disappointed to see such bland uninteresting developements. No character at all.

I thought that Durham Wharf Lane would be exciting.. but the new flats looked so dreary for a new build of wapping proportions.

(Indeed wasn't the real Durham Wharf located on the OTHER SIDE of the Canal once.?)

Since my previous excursions up Commerce Road..the buses seem to be parked in greater numbers in a different area.. affording more building potential at the previous parking plot.

The overhanging warehouses have gone..and one can see the new bridge assembly point across the Canal in Robin Grove.

Yes the bridge will be useful.. but what a disappointment  is Commerce Road and West Lock. Awful! Sorry!
