I see that the planning portal has a recently added revision to the Drainage Strategy for the development. I'm afraid I was unable to understand whether the 1 in 100 year event they model could cope with either of the two 40mm rain events London has experienced in the last fortnight.
The new plan, I believe, installs "attenuation tanks" beneath FOUR of the new allotment plots and in the event the storage is insufficient the exceedance is expected to flow over the allotment site and be directed to Snowy Fielder Way outside the nursing home.
I hope the Council has the expertise to review whether this is adequate and makes sense. |
