| Yes! They have - we (local Friends group, The Isleworth Society) worked with Hounslow to suggest small areas to enable them to 'green up'. One of them is an area at the junction of Twickenham Rd and Crane Avenue, (plus other small sites) in Isleworth. This was thanks to the inestimable Karen Leibriech doing much of the original idea pushing with the powers that be. We also had 14 more trees planted on this area and the difference it has made is incredible. The beautiful wildflower meadow has been the subject of many compliments and is absolutely beautiful now it's in full flower. What was a plain old bit of grass with a couple of trees is now a local delight and makes for an lovely entrance to a housing estate. |
