That is right and also free packing and postage is banned. In france there are around 3000 book shops compared to our 1000. Also books are sold in supermarkets. My daughter was looking for a Sartre book when she was young and we found about six titles in a supermarket I cannot imagine finding Bertrand Russells history of western philosophy in a supermarket here. A few months ago the young were given vouchers by the goverment for free books. So books are different to here. |
