This is not perculiar to Brentford. The whole country is like this. Rubbish everywhere grass uncut etc. I was driving to Henley on Thames sometime ago and in the middle of the country I saw a toilet and bath in a lay by. Drive from Slough to Heathrow and just look around as you pass along the Colnbrook bypass. On the continent I noticed recently groups of men washing road signs. Look at ours often green from the rain certainly not cleaned every couple of months. At roundabouts look at the areas around keep left signs loads of gravel etc not swept. Bins over flowing. On a train look out of the window and you will see old grease cans etc left by the track. Clearly this is not the public throwing them down. Just left after work. Even the poilce leave things. I noticed on one roundabout where there had been an incident tape had been tied between posts. Later when the tape was removed it was cut down leaving the ends around the posts flapping in the wind. I have read on this site where council contractors have left rubbish. Have a look at the book Crap Towns. It is the UK its our way. Its in our culture. |
