I'm sorry to hear that so many are unhappy with Hounslow. As a pensioner I am very pleased to belong. There is the 'handyman service' that is a phone call away. There is nothing comparable in Harrow. I know I've tried. Age U.K. is available and open 6 days a week with an impressive range of counselling, advice and social activities. Harrow's 'Age U.K.' is open two mornings a week, eager to help with government grants but nothing to compare with Hounslow. Visiting the Police station is a nightmare yes, but is that a Hounslow issue or a Met Police one? A couple of months back Hounslow held a public meeting aiming to set up a consultative group, chaired by Mary McLeod, from the Community to jointly plan the rebuilding of the town centre. After discounting the public officials perhaps you too were one of the 10 members of the public who turned up. |
