| I think one of the problems with Hounslow High St. was that the consultation on it during the pedestrianisation etc. was that the consultation wasn't wide enough, it was very local, and councillor input was, as I recall, confined to the Hounslow wards alone. It really needed to be opened up, add to that the years long debacle over 'key site one'(re-named key site when!) and you land up with the half-arsed piecemeal fudge we have now that no-one likes or uses. It is a mess, and in an age when online shopping is so popular high streets need to up their game just to survive. |
