I rarely venture into the centre of Hounslow having long ago given up on it being developed for the good of the Borough. On the odd occasion I visit the outpatients at 'Heart of Hounslow' I try and walk, either there or back. I always walk carefully as the pavements are so bad but if I have been to the eye clinic I have poor eyesight because of the eye drops. Today I decided I could not risk the walk home so I diverted to the bus stop behind Argos. I realise that this is the 'back of the shops' but it is central for the main bus stop feeding onto the bus station and beyond. As I got nearer to the stop I could smell - FISH. Not a smell of fresh fish but one of bad stinky old fish. Beside the bus stop freshly washed across the pavement, was water and the smell came from out of a shop, there. I then had to stand at the stop with the stench in the air, turning my stomach. I so would like to have a centre to Hounslow to be proud of. :-( |
