| I have admitted to being in the wrong as far as the info, however I would like to point out that even though no first hand experience comes to the fore for me, my Dee's father was an Able Seaman and died on the HMS Mishona after being flaked by german war planes, also his Grandfather David(Tack)McCourt)in the 1st World War won through gallantry the Military Medal and the Cross DeGeur(wrong spelling)Frances highest honour these medals are displayed in the Military Museum in Belfast. Many other family members served in all spheres of both wars just as other families from all over our nation did. |
