| Stephanie, You like adventure by the sounds of things! It's very much an abandoned Island but I believe it might be owned by a Property Company. Some years back Nigel Moore, our distinguished Canalboat man, organised a crowd of us to work with him and Thames 21 to clear debris laying on the Brentford shore at low tide. At some stage I couldn't resist exploring Lot's Ait..a mystery island..with my camera and also Sarah Felstead's teenage son we trampled through 'orrible polluted deep mud via a slipway near that abandoned boat. It was a hardcore adventure..mud and mud..thank goodness I had company..then we discovered a "stolen bicycle (parts stripping) workshop!..then views of Kew with lager cans all around..and finally that indoor Allotment! It's easier to get onto the Ait at low tide from the front side..Goat Hill? and up the steps...seen on the following picture. (next message). |
