Lambert sounds a bit desperate to prove himself. There’s a difference between engaging with people and actually doing what they ask. A case in point is the LTN on Whitestile Road, which the majority of residents rejected. Lambert still maintains it’s what they all want. The problem he can’t fathom is that belonging to a political party means he isn’t able to act independently. He follows the party line. That means he puts his political club above the residents. It also means he denigrates atone not in his club, as he so amply proved at the Waterman’s demo last week. Of course the ‘Red Tory’ is also a persistent speed limit breaker in his car. Surely as a paid up cycle lobbyist it’s time for him to give up his licence? |
