I thought it was just us but the excellent cinema has been very short notice and not really playable. Similarly we went about 3-4 times a month, sometimes in the same week. Seen some unexpectedly amazing films and some absolute stinkers.

As well as excellent mainstream films.

But cannot help but feel that the waterman has been losing it's way since before the lockdown and all this talk about it moving is really going to finish it off.

If you can't make a not perfect but OK venue work in what must be one of the best locations in London, then something must be wrong.

And decades ago, Boy! Did that place buzz.

Will a new location fare any better? 

Guarantee it will be a shadow and suffer the same impediments or worse.
