Going in to watch the birds isn't really 'supporting' it, though, is it? They need people to go in and spend, be it on the cinema, theatre or restaurant.

Unfortunately, the cinema has lost its way since lockdown. I used to go there 4 or 5 times a month, usually with a group of friends, often eating as well, but now they don't tell you what their forthcoming programme is until the last minute, so I've usually seen the film already by the time it gets to Waterman's. When I point this out to them, they shrug their shoulders.

I fear it's going to be mostly Act One and the Ealing Project from now on.
