A quick update. I looked at the equipment a couple of times and couldn't understand what the problem was because I couldn't see anything. I had a detailed conversation with a senior council officer yesterday. The equipment has been 'professionally' attacked by someone with an angle grinder, targeting the bolts that hold the equipment stable. Police are heavily involved with looking for the culprit and have some active lines of enquiry, I understand. I have asked for the fencing to be confined to whatever equipment is actually damaged rather than the whole play/fitness park. They are trying to source replacement parts but supply chain disruption doesn't help. |
