| Thames Water was a plc when it was first privatised. This at least meant that it was fully accountable to shareholders. But not any more. Thames is now wholly owned by a bunch of shadowy foreign investors – one of which is the Chinese government. The UK is one of the only countries in the world which allows its critical national infrastructure to be sold off to foreign investors, no questions asked. |
