If people are that dopey that they cannot discern the difference between heritage of this town and a sugary drink ( which is nothing like the sugary product of the last 50 years) then that's their problem or choice. Theres big difference between contemporay making a statement or a take on other forms, and 20th century cultural industrial heritage for which Brentford was steeped in. Most had logos which are a form of art and most are long defunct. But most are works of typographical design and used in many ways including neon signs popular from their invention with industry and commerce. I think Brentford is Brilliant first that more as an epitaph ( maybe 'was' is more appropriate ) But on a structure that is pretty awful with a mural that does not compare with the artists otherwise excellent portfolio, would be a bit of a joke. |
