Not sure it was that much 350m. I thought. Either way one thing the Prime Minister was right about is no-one predicted or factored in the Pandemic. Does not excuse the profiteering and irresponsible spending carried out by authorities in the name of cover, or the shirking in some professions while others work their socks off. In the main though, it has delivered in key areas. But the price to pay for all this will be huge and social care was in tatters long before Covid came along. So if we are taxed directly, how is the Social Care deduction on Council Tax ( which does not seem to have made any difference to quality in this locality) going to be continued? |
