Not to mention the extreme degree of air flow disruption that tall buildings cause, damage to light and creation of micro climate distortions. Made even worse here by multiple flight paths. Makes ground transportation pollution minute by comparison ( but far easier to make money from) Or the huge inefficient use of services which require far more energy per 100 dwellings than low rise homes and offices as well as far more safety features which , as we all know from the consequences of cost avoidance, cannot be constantly afforded by property mangers social or private. The petty gesturing aimed at road use makes a complete mockery of climate emergency which hs simply become a new scope for revenue raising. With Carbon Offsets a stupid excuse to declare carbon neutral. The same Mayor who gets on a supplied bike to ride 800m for the cameras happily presides over more and more overdensification and urbanisation increasing social, health and pollution problems which are creating more than they solve. |
