I think that there was an arrangement with Abundance who were helping to organise help from the public so that people could learn how to look afer their local newly planted saplings. There was a reason why they arrived late but I can't remember what. There was an article on the front page on cw4.com. Wandsworth were doing the same sort of thing asking for the public to help keep an eye on new saplings in the hot weather so that ones suffering could be watered. I've noticed in Ealing that there appear to be markings on the support posts showing when they had been checked. There are so many different circumstances - weather, soil, tree etc. |
