Steve - I have received no acknowledgement of my latest email (dated 26 March) to Theo Dennison and Katherine Dunne. However Steve Curran, as he always does, responded very promptly and he told me that he is following the matter up with his officers. I have had holding replies from both Network Rail and South West Trains. David - thanks for your report to Hounslow Highways and I hope that you get a satisfactory response. I have made numerous postings on FixMyStreet but these have been swallowed up in the system and they seem to have had absolutely no impact. The fundamental problem seems to be that the ownership of at least some of the land involved is not registered with the Land Registry. I thought at one time that because someone must have put up the lamp posts then there must be a record of this somewhere or an identification marker on the lamp posts. Presumably someone must be paying the electricity bill for the lighting and the relevant agency could be identified. With regard to the station forecourt somebody must be paying contractors to enforce parking restrictions. It seems, as often is the case, that life is not so simple. However on this issue I feel like a dog with a bone. |
