Thanks. I could not access the borough website, keeps saying 'server unavailable' or not loading at all. Has done quite a lot over the last few months.

Just shows though how few are really online or able to do so as almost the entire street has put out the white sacks today. Plus most of the other cycling stuff which was collected yesterday.   And rather sadly, how uncommunicative neighbours have become.

Confusion has set in and this is a costly waste of resources. Yesterday collections have no doubt, not resulted in good use of resources,. Wasted fuel and staff and plant under used and no doubt next week will see overloading and unable to cope.
The same with plastics this week. the stuff will now probably languish in front of homes for another week and possibly get blown and dispersed. Making the place a mess and health hazard and taxing other cleansing resources.

If they can afford to send out a plastic christmas tree card with unreliable information, surely they could have afforded a 6 month collection rota card to keep.?
It would have been a cheap effective option.

Clearly beyond the abilities of the huge salaries of top executives and their visionary guides

By far, more effective than relying online. So many still do not have the means or inclination to pfaff about with it. For many it's possible but not instant.
Referring to a card stuck on the fridge door is. Just like tax discs on cars - another costly disaster !

Not everyone is online all the time or spends their life glued to a screen.

It's quite indicative on this site. A very small number of contributors in general and an even smaller band of regular contributors and never that many   browsers.

You would expect it in this day and age with ease of access etc. to be a great many more, but it isn't and that's why old means of communication, in this instance, clear and correct info cards are not 'so 'Last Century' just yet
