For some.... there is a spiritual joy hearing the organ play in churches. Locally we have the fabulous Musical Museum next to Holland Gardens where many experts play...and sometimes classical music... just like the Rachmaninov concert a few years back before an audience of some twenty! Also in the memory and on a recording I made (thank you Samsung phone) I remember hearing a very fine organist playing modestly at the St Vincent's Roman Catholic Chapel in Isleworth. I wonder if he is still there? I recorded him playing Purcell and, after everyone was outside for family wedding photos, he kindly did Bach's Fugue. So, which churches in Brentford have the organ playing at their Sunday services?. I was just looking at the Methodist website and wondered if they did. http://www.rhmc.org.uk/brentford.htm |
