Just over the 'border' on Boston Road is the wonderful Grade 2* listed church of St.Thomas the Apostle. Currently we are surviving on a 'plumbed-in' Viscount digital organ while our wonderful 1897 J.W.Walker pipe organ undergoes a £150,000 restoration. The Viscount does a great job and accompanies every Sunday service (Family Mass 10:00 am) with an introit, hymns , anthem and recessional voluntary all played on the organ. The Walker will, God willing, back 'on song' at Easter 2015. Some video clips here http://thomashanwell.org.uk/worship-and-music/hanwell-organ-appeal/ |
