| I have met quite a few Labour councillors whom I would describe as having been community-minded prior to their time in office. This would include not only Matt, but even Steve Curran. Both of these were active with the Griffin Park Residents' Association and served their locality well. In Steve's case in particular we really do have a story of poacher having turned gamekeeper. I am also acquainted with former Labour councillors who have "reverted" to being passionate community advocates, even where that means taking a view which is contrary to the Official Line that issues forth from Planet Lampton. Both instances are, I would suggested, proof positive of the destructive gravitational pull which exists within the current Labour Group and the administration over which it presides. |
