Neil, sad to hear this but as Vanessa stated in earlier posts it's Grade 2 listed so the the building will be ok. Not sure what I'd like it to be but it is a very large property so whilst filling up the ground floor with shops/possibly pub the upstairs floors would either need to be offices or residential to recoup income on the investment. As Mark stated earlier, a Wetherspoons pub maybe another option but this has been opposed by others before for a couple of reasons 1) That it would put paid to the other pubs in the town. (Mark). 2) That it would quote ''Make money out of the cost of everything as for the value of every thing / anything; I'm of to Feltham 23/12/2010 so as everyone from the police force, Magistrate, solicitor, barrister, The Judge,The probationer and assorted therapist (Think 1st ect)and possably Group Four aka the Prison Service and the new Prison building 'Investments', sorry the police and prisons pension scheme can benefit from the forty two year hate campaign known as the War on People, sorry drugs. Another £1/4m to be p****D away Keeping some people paid and my family and I denied Fundamental Rights. Some of us; Guilty only of being born in the tiny piece of human history that allows the poise, self important, and ignorant to criminalise people born to be who they are and interested in the worlds oldest industrial plant, would be glad to see the back of this symbol of oppression / repression that this building sadly represents.'' 3) My proposal therefore would be to make it into some sort of waccy Fuc**n baccy factory which would obviously keep Phillip & his mates amused where we would have paranoid schizophrenia tossers walking up & down the High St all day out of their heads threatening/scaring the locals. |
