One could say that Royal Mail employees are geographically challenged as well...such is the overriding power and necessity for correct postcodes.

Mail addressed to Osterley, Middlesex without a postcode is likely to be delayed by several days which the envelope visits Uxbridge and all stations to Cockfosters whilst the sorters hunt down where the place is.

Do people realise that all mail posted these days in the vast TW postal region gets taken to the Jubilee Mail Centre in Hanworth Road..together with all KTs (Kingston regions) and GU (Guildford regions)..and all Chisqucks, Actons..etc etc.  Blow Surrey or Middlesex just get the right code sorted...that's what huge sorting machines read.
