| I think that the Dear Leader should look to David Miliband for an example of grace and humility, I think that his decision is mature and sensible, and absolutely right. Sometimes you just have to learn to come to terms with the fact of your disappointment that you lost something close to your heart. But that is the nature of life, and especially politics - some you win some you lose, that's the chance you take when you throw your hat in the ring. Hovering around and clinging on to the vestiges of what once was starts to look quite sad. No one says you have to disappear but you do have to be circumspect, and know when to butt out of the frontline. It is quite often the case that you will get another chance to contest a result, and I'd bet my last penny that's what will happen in 2014, as I have said there is absolutely no way that the D.L. won't join the fray, in spite of the false modesty we have been fed. Anyway there's always North Korea in the meantime. |
