Chiswick Library (Local Studies Section) is one suggestion. Caroline Hammond and friends there have a substantial set of the yearly publication "Kelly's". Kelly Directories list Brentford streets in alpha order and name the main occupant in each numbered dwelling. In addition there is a further index in the back of the book listing Commercial premises in alpha order..and finally "main householders" in alpha order. It's a gem of a Library..and you can make photocopies there of your finds! Good luck. |
