| It is a shame to have had so many abandoned commercial properties in Brentford over the years..but it looks as though several sites are at last being developed. However on the waterfront near Kew Bridge we still have Autobar House. Derelict and an eyesore..but we've seen worse haven't we? I recall the Autobar Vending Machine company being there in the 1970/80's ..and meeting a boss one lunchtime at a Sandycombe Road wine bar, who said that the company was owned or part-owned by the Sultan of Brunei no less. Is that still the case? Does the Sultan still own the site? Autobar Vending, an international company now operate from the Tower Block at Gunnersbury Station. What happening there at 41-42 Kew Bridge Road? Access into the site looks easy.. that's a danger. And why not get a hedge-cutting service to do some uplifting tasks! |
