The sign on the front says Phase 2 80% sold (though I don't know what that means precisely!) Months ago I prowled around one weekend (I live in Ferry QUays so on my doorstep) and tried an entrance door. I expected it to be locked. Went through. Another door unlocked. I got to the lift lobby. A woman came out of the lift. I was amazed. Did she live there? Yes. Was she happy and did others live there? Yes it's mainly full. That was a block in the middle. There are I think going to be 8 shops/workshops/studios. " opposite Lidl 6 going doen Timber WHarf Walk. A few months ago there was a licence application for a convenience shop opposite Lidl which sounded rather optimistic to me. I think I saw somw work happening on one of the shops recently but it still looked like a shell last time I checked. They have asked for a change in planning category and I need to check what that would mean. If they try normal shops there it will do no better (worse actually) than the council, Ballymore or Ferry Quays shops. Needs to be workshops or studios - the kind of thing local artist.makers/people need in Brentford!
