| There is a difference. Being fully paid up he’s an enthusiastic participant at meetings rather than someone who just pays a subscription and does nothing else. You also miss the point Anne. If reducing car use is the issue - and the Greens and Labour bang on about it enough - then taking one’s car out for a day trip round London is a strange choice, as I’m sure you will agree. These Mr Toad jaunts aren’t essential journeys. Lambert doesn’t need a car for work. He could get taxis if necessary and thus free himself from the ‘tyranny of car ownership’. Or do different rules apply to the political elite? |
