I was always a bit of a scruff but my hairdresser was evicted in Jan 2025 to move to her new home also in Brentford (in the new council block). Craig is a young chap with what I suppose is a trendy style - reminiscent of what we used to call a mullet, but I am old and out of touch with the new generations. For a while I went on a hairy protest trying to encourage the council to get its skates on. I finally gave in and went to her in the chair she rents in Isleworth for a trim. After 17 months without a shop, despite a lease beng agreed and the shop fitted out from shell at her expense the council say there is no demand for shops in Brentford. Her shop (fitted out and with the sign up for several months) remains empty. Meanwhile there is no room in the 9 empty (and tenantless)  shops in the new block for a local charity trying to start a charity shop there. The council say it is under offer. The estate agent (based in Regent St W1) say it's available. The council say look at other premises the council has in Brentford. Charity asks where. I don't know, nor does anybody else. He has asked the council but has had no answer, which is no surprise. My comment would include the word 'brewery' but this is a family site.
