Guy, That's not true. I have paid for everything myself, all the way through  this campaign. I have not engaged with you or others in mud slinging  and I am not going to start now . So I confirm I have paid for everything even down to the printing of the leaflets where the printer got my name wrong.
So for clarity
KNOW WHO IS ASKING FOR YOUR VOTE.
I am Bob Ayres.  I am 72 yrs old.
I walk my dog Blue six miles every day.
I own and run two active  companies - Prompt Services Ltd and Willfield Developments Ltd.
In the last 26 years my businesses have been based in Brentford. We have recruited and trained 78 apprentices in plumbing, heating and electrics, as well as three further apprentices in carpentry and joinery .
I have always believed that training  young people is the best foundation for them and our country and, in that respect, over the years I have lobbied MPs and Government.  In fact, I met with Ruth Cadbury in June 2025 to acquaint her with the disastrous effect that her Chancellor’s policies  were having on small business and recruitment.
In 2006 I, supported by Ruth Cadbury, made an application to the Learning Skills Council to open a training centre in Brentford giving training in gas, oil ,solar and geo-thermal energy.  In doing so I recruited the help of several major equipment manufacturers who undertook to supply equipment for training FOC.  This initiative was rejected by the then Labour skills minister Ivan Lewis.
I haven’t always been a boss. In 1975 I worked shifts at Firestones on the 3rd  floor tyre building. I also worked for Trico Folberth and CAV -Lucas in Acton.  Apart from that, I ran a pub in Ealing.
Hope that answers the question and gives you a brief background of some of the things I have done in my life.
If you would like to confirm this, why not have a wander down to the new Hall and Woodhouse Bar and ask for Curtis , who joined as an apprentice 20 years ago and is now my site manager.  He went from sitting on a bench in the park to a highly skilled, motivated and trusted individual, so you can see I don’t  just talk about training. I do it.
Lastly, I know my wind-ups get me into trouble but I simply could not help myself yesterday when I met a young Labour candidate while we were both out leafleting . We shook hands and he asked how it was going .I told him we are making one last push this week  and were waiting to see what difference our local radio adverts would make. He took off like a rocket, no doubt to inform central command to scan the airwaves
