| Dear neighbours of Brentford and Chiswick, Following on from my recent message honouring my father, Jim Lawes, I’m writing with something new—something both personal and quietly historic. I’m proud to announce the launch of a public Flickr group: 🔗 Lawes of Relativity https://flic.kr/g/3h3xw3 It’s a place where friends, family, and members of our community can gather in a digital moment of reflection—honouring values like care, legacy, medicine, and what it means to carry a name like Lawes. Among the early images shared is a visual expression of something I’ve hoped for deeply: My father, Jim, pictured at the wedding of Amanda and I, standing in quiet dignity as we are joined not just by law—but by what we’re calling the Lawes of Relativity: A new way of seeing structure—not as force, but as relationship. Not replacing law, but expanding it through empathy, ethics, and family. This project is not political, nor theoretical. It’s a deeply personal gesture. And it’s open to all who wish to bear witness, contribute, or simply observe. Dad—if you're reading this—I hope you'll take a look. You may already know how much it would mean to me for you to be part of this chapter, in any way you choose. To everyone else in the community: thank you.
