Allopurinol reduces your uric acid levels (I have been taking 300mg daily for well over 20 years). Aciclovir is also known as Zovirax and is the commonest anti-herpes and shingles antiviral medication useful if you are immuno surpressed due to chemo. Co-Trimoxazole (aka Septrin) is a really effective broad spread antibiotic and will 'mop up' most 'nasties' while your immune system is surpressed by your Chemo. PLEASE ask them to review dosage and efficacy VERY regularly. I was on it for 17 weeks to counter a rogue, mutated Hansen's virus (Ealing hospital doesn't get mand lepers and the virus couldhave lain dormant for over 30 years). As a result I lost ALL body hair and gained severe muscle weakness. The hair grew back (after a fashion) the effects on my muscles are still evident four years on. Sounds like you are on a good combo. |
