Maybe the brownfield site at Stratford enabled the planning authorities to insist on a less dense development whereas the Brentford Project is working off an existing footprint. A better comparison might be Butlers Wharf in Southwark where the feel of dockside Victorian alleyways is created with less of the smell and filth of the original. I'm reserving judgement on the Brentford Project but, thus far, I'm favourable. |
