| The idea to have Gunnersbury Bowls club as an introductory green for young people, those with various disabilities and to create a little league and a Grandparent/Grandchild teams was one of the best I have heard. Bowls is one of the few sports that can straddle the entire age range, is played in almost every part of the globe and has versatility. Although I read the proposals it is shameful that this was simply discarded and handed on a plate to the woefully poor management of Gunnersbury and their select associates. At the very least the Brentford FC Community sports Trust should have been offered a partnership with the Bowls Club. It's very much in the vein of what they do. But No. Pizzas and profits before health and well being. |
