I think that's the point I was alluding to, Keith. Indeed, the next generation just coming up to retirement are going to be on far more inferior pensions than those who were lucky enough for final salary pensions. So there will be a far greater number without disposable income and greater demand on services and amenities. Free Travel for over 60s ( which all long term council tax payers in Greater London have chipped into since 2000 chip into ) is likely to be chopped or further curtailed - rendering it pretty useless. Not much forward thinking going on. Especially for Older citizens. Yet plenty of creedence being given to policy advisors and external politically funded think tanks who rather deftly are not including older citizens/residents in anything. And too many local councils as usual say nothing.
